I am sorry to have to remove my ClustrMap as I was really enjoying it.
This evening I logged in to take a look at where you all were located only to discover an advertisement with which I do not agree. It was a "racy" ad for clothing and it is not my wish to lead anyone to stumble. I am disappointed with ClustrMap for allowing this type of advertisement and I plan to let them know.
I will no longer have the ability to see where you are checking in from. Please leave me comments as I love to hear from you!
Thanks!

Daniels Update
3 numbing patches on hands and arms

Hello All,
Thank you for praying for our precious Daniel. The nurses said they had never seen a 3 year old so polite and so good. He watched as the nurses put his IV in his arm and chatted with them about how he is getting a new Hot Wheels beep-beep after his procedure.
We REJOICE and PRAISE OUR LORD as his stomach, esophagus and intestine all looked very normal and healthy. The Doctor said that you can have reflux symptoms without damage. He is guessing that is what is going on in our sweet boy. He took two biopsies to rule out a few things. We rest knowing that nothing major is going on in his little tummy. Having had this procedure myself, I knew first hand some of the complications that could have occurred and we feel so blessed that God led us to Dr. Latimer and led Dr. Latimers hand throughout the scope. If you happen to live in the DC area and need a Pediatric Gastroenterologist, we highly recommend Dr. Latimer of Georgetown University Hospital.

Please pray for Daniel
Hi Friends,
Daniel, our 3 yo and the one in the blue shirt in picture above, is having an endoscopy tomorrow morning. He has had a stomach problem for months and has been on Prevacid for the last 6 months. Tomorrow is to pinpoint the problem. Please keep him in your prayers throughout the morning. We report at 7:30 with a 9:00am endoscopy. It will be an early morning for us as we have to leave the house at 6. Daniel is not allowed to have anything to eat or milk after midnight tonight. He is only allowed a little water 3 hours before the event. So, at 6am he gets a little water and his daily pill. He is used to having milk in the morning, so please pray that he will not have the need for it. He is such a good boy and I am sure everything will go well. Peter and I are having a date with him tonight as the other children head to my parents for a fun time with them. I asked Daniel what he wanted for dinner. His reply, "I want a beep beep (aka car) Hot Wheels Beat That after I am a good boy at my Doctors." It's all about the car for our sweet boy. I have seen little boys like cars before, but ours LOVES his beep-beeps. If you are wondering about the name...what sounds does a car make? Beep-beep! It has stuck with us since he started talking.
Also, the girls get to go with their grandfather for "take your daughter to work" day. His office has planned for a really fun day for the girls. With my husband being an airline pilot and not really able to "take his daughters to work" less they get "bumped" from a flight (yikes!), it's so nice that their grandfather is able to do this with them. Thanks Dad!
I will update you as soon as possible after we are home tomorrow. Or as soon as I know anything! Thanks for praying...

Loving the Map!
Hi Friends,
I am loving my CustrMap. It is so neat to see how spread out my blog visitors are. Thanks for coming to see me. I am amazed at the connection I have to the outside world through this little bit of my life. As I write this I am laughing. If you read my post from a few days ago you know about the ice cream truck. Well, he just drove by and hubby has the kids at the park two doors down. I am sure they are begging for ice cream while I am enjoying a bit of me time. Right before they left I had spent an hour with the four of them making shortbread cookies. Have you ever tried to do that with a 3 and 4 year old?! Even the 7 and 10 year olds had a bit of a problem with the dough constantly falling apart. The boys made a few cookies and then ate a lot of dough. At least shortbread is only flour, sugar and butter. Or in my world, "yum!"
Okay Mommy bloggers...if this is your only form of communication with the "outside world" head on over to In A Shoe to see what fun the West Coast Mommy Bloggers had during their get together. (KimC, if you read this, who is welcome to San Antonio? It looks like so much fun. AND, no I am not a naked hairy man in real life! I am a faithful reader of you blog-love it!)
I have smoked turkey pot pie in the oven, so off to finish dinner. Yes, from scratch and much better for us than ice cream! ;)

Ice Cream Truck
It is starting to feel like Summer! We even had a visit from the ice cream truck. My children's eyes were wide with excitement as they heard the music and watched him approach. Uncle Rich was here and treated them to what I dubbed "dinner." So I am posting these pictures with a couple expectations of my faithful readers:
1. No comments about my brother being shirtless or his tattoo. He faithfully played soccer and went on the trampoline with all four kids. He's a stud, we all know it.
2. No comments about ice cream being "dinner." With a husband who is out of town many-a-night, dinner is what it is! This evening I roasted a turkey, steamed veggies and was all ready for a nice dinner when I got the call. "Hi, I am stuck in Connecticut due to weather. Won't be home til 7, I hope." See, if I had NOT made a big dinner he would have been home for cereal! Now I know you are all worried that my children are not getting proper nutrition. Rest assured our daily snack is a veggie platter and I enforce protein every day. Ice Cream for dinner was an anomaly, but granola on yogurt is definitely not!

Mark Lowry-I Want To Go To Heaven
When my husband and I met I was a student at Liberty University. That is where I heard about Mark Lowry. Lately, I have had a fun time watching his old videos on YouTube. Enjoy watching!

The Things We Do-Trampoline
My husband and I had a fun time on our trampoline last night. We sent the children to do their nighttime routine while we played. We laughed and I tried whole-heartedly to "take him down" with my smooth wrestling moves. I have to say that my husband is very strong. He outweighs me by 90 pounds! But I was a pistol and determined. It was all to no avail until he decided to "fall down" (aka: rest). I then tried to pin him and he was able to take both of my feet in one hand while I tried to get away. He let go and my foot came flying without control! The result was a direct kick to his face. The laughing stopped, at least on his part. I tried to get myself under control after laughing for almost 40 minutes straight. He held his head and I repeated, "I am so sorry, I am so sorry, I am so sorry, are you okay?" He wound up with a nice "egg" right above his left eyebrow. It is still sore today, but not quite as pronounced. As I have proved myself as a woman who should not be messed with, I don't think I will need to challenge him for a while! Yeah, right.
This is not the first incident on our trampoline. Although we have strict rules on what is allowed to take place out there, accidents still happen. Several weeks ago Abigail was jumping with reckless abandon and came right up into my nose. The result of that was a bloody nose and two black eyes.
Would I still recommend a trampoline? Well, yes, I now have a claim to fame. So, wouldn't you?

I added a ClustrMap
Hi,
I added a map from ClustrMaps to the lower left side of my page. I am looking forward to seeing where you are all located. I have been neglecting my blog as I have not had anything really interesting or useful to write about. My sweet Pete is on a trip again so it's catch up time for things around the house. Maybe by tomorrow I will have the gumption to write something thrilling for you all! Until then, visit one of my links to read about adoption...there are still 144,000 waiting children in the foster care system. If you visit AdoptUSkids you may find the child that is waiting for you!
